🔁 History

For everything you do every so often, with no fixed date: going to the doctor, changing the car's oil, checking the fire extinguisher, getting a haircut. History remembers when the last time was, warns you when it's due again and keeps a note for each time it happened.

What it is

A record of tasks that recur by interval (every X days/months), different from the Calendar (which is by a set date). Each task has a status showing whether it's on time, close to due or overdue — and a timeline with every time you did it.

What it's for

  • Not miss the interval of periodic things (health, home, car, paperwork).
  • See when the last time was and when the next one is.
  • Record, for each occurrence, what happened (e.g. the treatment the doctor prescribed).

How to use (step by step)

  1. Tap + to create a task (a history item).
  2. Fill in:
    • Title — e.g. "Go to the dentist".
    • Category — to group items (health, home, car…).
    • Icon or emoji and color — the card's visual identity.
    • Expected frequency — how often it repeats (defines the "next time").
    • Notes — a fixed description of the task (different from per-occurrence notes).
  3. Whenever you do the task, open the item and use Log occurrence:
    • Pick the date it happened.
    • Write a note for that time (optional).
    • Tap Mark as done.
  4. The occurrence joins the item's timeline, and the status/"next time" update.

Per-occurrence note

This is what sets History apart: each log has its own note.

Example: you saw the doctor in the first half of the year and they prescribed a treatment — note that on the occurrence for that date. The next year you go back and they prescribe a different treatment — log a new occurrence with the new note. Both are kept, each on its own date, inside the same "Go to the doctor" item.

To edit the note of an already logged occurrence, tap it on the timeline.

Filling examples

  • Medical appointment → Title "GP", category Health, frequency every 6 months. At each visit, log the date and note the treatment/prescription for that time.
  • Oil change → category Car, frequency every 6 months (or by mileage, noting the odometer in each occurrence).
  • Haircut → frequency every 4 weeks.

Tips to get the most out of it

  • Status badges: each card shows "on time", "due in X days" or "overdue by X days", in color, so you can prioritize at a glance.
  • Grouping by category: items are grouped by category (collapsible sections) — collapse the ones you don't care about right now.
  • Filters and search: in the header, filter by status or category and search by title.
  • Item note × occurrence note: the Note describes the task itself (always the same); the per-occurrence note is the diary of each time you did it.
  • Card style: in Settings → Advanced personalization → Card style, switch between a filled card and a side label.
