🎂 Birthdays
Never forget an important date again. The Birthdays section keeps the dates of the people (and pets, and companies!) who matter, warns you in advance and even adds everything to your Calendar automatically.

What it is
A birthday registry with a countdown, notification reminders and a social relationship (family, friends, work…). Every saved birthday also becomes a yearly event on the Calendar, with no extra work.
What it's for
- Remember birthdays days or weeks in advance.
- Know, at a glance, how many days are left and how old the person is turning.
- Organize people by relationship type and filter by it.
- Keep everything in sync with the calendar, without entering it twice.
How to use (step by step)
- Tap + Add at the top of the section.
- Fill in the fields:
- Name — the person (or pet, or company).
- Icon or emoji — tap to open the picker. It has an Icons | Emoji toggle: pick a catalog icon or a native emoji (❤️, 🐶, 🎈…).
- Relationship — family, friends, work, school, clients, pets, social, professionals, acquaintances, networking, companies or other. Each one has a color.
- Month and Day — the date (Feb 29 is accepted).
- Birth year (optional) — if provided, the app calculates and shows the age the person is turning.
- Time and Reminders — when you want to be warned (you can pick several, e.g. 1 day before and on the day).
- Notes — gift ideas, clothing size, whatever you like.
- Save. The birthday joins the list and a yearly "🎂 Name" event appears on the Calendar.

Filling examples
- Your mom → Name "Mom", relationship Family, month/day, birth year (to see the age), reminders 1 week before and 1 day before, note "Loves flowers".
- Coworker → relationship Work, no year (no need for the age), reminder on the morning of the day.
- Your dog → Name "Thor", relationship Pets, emoji 🐶, reminder on the day.
Tips to get the most out of it
- Summary at the top: a card shows who has a birthday today and how many are coming in the next 30 days.
- Countdown: each card shows "Today", "Tomorrow" or "In X days", and highlights whoever's turning today with 🎉.
- Filter by relationship: tap the filter icon in the header to see only family, only work, etc.
- Card style: in Settings → Advanced personalization → Card style, choose between a filled card (solid color) or a side label. In label mode, anyone with an emoji shows without the icon background, cleaner.
- Calendar integration: since the birthday becomes a yearly event, it appears in the Month/Year views alongside your other commitments. Editing or deleting the birthday updates the event automatically.
